At 9 a.m. Thursday at the Women’s Club house, the Weintraub duo will disclose the “Nuts and Bolts of the CSO,” as part of the Women’s Club’s Chautauqua Speaks series.

Weintraubs to hold release party for Chautauqua-recorded second album
Jason and Nancy Weintraub had an earlier wedding than they planned. That was before they formed The Weintraub Duo, had two children and began to live in Chautauqua every summer, a family tradition that has continued 41 years — an anchor in their life.
After traveling for several years with Army field bands and then chasing teaching jobs from Kansas to Oklahoma, the couple began to maintain a constant: their summers at Chautauqua.
They recorded their first record in 2006, and their second, called “Gershwin and Romance,” will be available beginning today. A release party for the album will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the home of Ed and Pat Garland, 19 Palestine.
Symphony Partners offers chance to meet CSO principals
Members of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra lead normal lives as part of the fabric of the Chautauqua community — when they aren’t performing three times a week.
They attend morning lectures, take walks by the lake and their kids even attend Boys’ and Girls’ Club.
The Symphony Partners will host a Meet the Principals Reception, a special event to meet the fellow members of the community, at 5-7 p.m. next Wednesday, July 11, at the Chautauqua Golf Club. The reception is a chance for devoted fans and audience members to meet the musicians, ask questions and connect names on the program with faces on the stage.
It is the first time Symphony Partners will sponsor this specific reception, in addition to their regular Brown Bag and post-concert Meet the Musician gatherings on the Amphitheater back porch.
