No matter when a play was written, how many adaptations there have been or how many people have taken on a certain role, there is still something exciting about putting on the skin of a character for the first time.
If you look hard enough at a performance of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, you just might see someone you know.
Then again, you might not have to look that hard.
“It’s about your neighbor and it’s about your brother and it’s about your postman,” said Lisa Rothe, director of Chautauqua Theater Company’s production of Cat. “These are very personal relationships.”
