After spending hours playing her cello, a thin layer of rosin builds up beneath the strings and her fingerprints leave a greasy glow on the fingerboard and neck. She hopes to keep her modern Italian cello, which she purchased three days before arriving at Chautauqua Institution, in pristine shape so she wipes off any grime after she plays.
